Philips Lumea IPL 9000 Series works effectively on different types of hair and skin. It works on naturally dark blonde, brown and black hair and on skin tones from very fair white to dark brown. IPL requires a contrast between hair color and skin tone, so (as with other IPL based treatments) Philips Lumea IPL cannot be used on white, grey, light blonde or red hair and is not suitable for very dark skin.
